Jodie Comer Drops Out Of 'Kitbag' Movie Over COVID-Scheduling Issues

Jodie Comer has dropped out of Kitbag.

According to Deadline, the 28-year-old Killing Eve actress will no longer star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the Ridley Scott-directed movie.

The site reports that Jodie has cited “Covid-related scheduling issues” as reason for her departure.

She was set to star as Empress Joséphine, the first wife of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.

“I just jumped at the chance to work with Ridley and his team again and the idea of working with Joaquin, who’s someone who I hugely admire. I think for me, what I’m learning is […] you learn and you grow so much by being and working with the people that you’re working alongside,” Jodie said at the time of her casting in September last year.

Kitbag is set to start production on January 15.
