Gal Gadot Teases Her Upcoming Cleopatra Movie: 'We're Going To Celebrate Her'

Gal Gadot is opening up a bit more about her starring role in the upcoming Cleopatra movie.

“I can’t reveal a lot,” Gal immediately admitted to the glossy, “but I can tell you that we’re going to celebrate the Cleopatra story.”

She went on, adding that the goal is to “show not just how sexy and appealing she was, but how strategic and smart, and how much impact she had and still has on the world we’re living in today.”

“I’ve watched all the Cleopatra movies throughout history, but I feel like we’re telling the story the world needs to hear now.”

Gal follows in the footsteps of Elizabeth Taylor, Vivian Leigh, Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, and silent movie actress Theda Bara in playing the Egyptian queen.

After it was announced she would be starring in the movie, Gal responded to the backlash over it.
