The HFPA says that the event will focus on the philanthropic efforts of the organization and winners of the Golden Globes will announced throughout the 90-minute event. People who attend the event will be socially distanced around the venue and a limited number of invitations were sent out due to the pandemic. It was reported that they did attempt to get celebs to attend.

“This year’s event is going to be a private event and will not be live-streamed. We will be providing real-time updates on winners on the Golden Globes website and our social media,” the HFPA said in a statement (via The Hollywood Reporter).
