Dylan Minnette Explains His Outfit at 'Scream' Photo Call After Fans Called Him Out for 'Underdressing'

Dylan Minnette was the only male star from Scream to not wear a suit at the film’s photo call and his fans called him out for underdressing.

There was initially some confusion because some fans thought it was a premiere, but the event was just a photo call at the press junket. The red carpet premiere was canceled due to the pandemic.

The photo call, which was attended by cast members like Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, took place on Friday (January 7) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“to everyone absolutely demolishing me for ‘underdressing’ to the ‘scream premiere red carpet’… it wasn’t a premiere. our premiere was (sadly) cancelled. of course i would’ve dressed for the occasion of a premiere sillies!!” Dylan tweeted.

He continued, “this was on a standard press junket day where there’s no pressure on a dress code, and there was a group photo being taken midday with one photographer. i also had no idea there would be a red carpet. and that’s also just a very unfortunate video lol”

“also, it was a sweater shirt, not a t-shirt, so,” he added with an emoji of the face with tongue sticking out.
