Humayun will play Dr. Hasnat Khan, the British-Pakistani heart surgeon who practiced at London’s Royal Brompton Hospital.

In a statement to the Metropolitan Police years after her death, the doctor stated that he was in a relationship with Princess Diana from 1995 to 1997, and that she broke up with him after she met Dodi Fayed on holiday with Mohammed Al Fayed and his family.

Dr. Khan said in his statement that he considered pursuing a life with Princess Diana, but the press made the situation impossible.

Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana later died together in a road accident in Paris in 1997.

Humayun Saeed is known for roles in projects like Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Punjab Nahi JaungiProject Ghazi.
