Jenna Jameson Reveals Guillain-Barré Syndrome Diagnosis

Jenna Jameson is opening up about her health.

The 47-year-old former adult star and Celebrity Big Brother alum was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, she confirmed on social media.

“Hey guys, first of all thank you for all the love and support through my DMs. I see each and every one of you, and I appreciate it. The doctors suspect Guillain-Barré syndrome and have started my IVIG treatment. I am in the hospital and will likely remain here until treatment is complete. I hope to be out of here soon,” she captioned a video of herself from the hospital.

“PS I did NOT get the jab or any jab. This is NOT a reaction to the jab. Thank you for your concern,” she continued, referring to vaccines.

Her partner Lior Bitton previously said that she was in the hospital undergoing testing after “not feeling so good” and had been “throwing up for a couple weeks” and went to the hospital last week.

“Then she came back home and she couldn’t carry herself. Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn’t able to walk to the bathroom. She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days it go really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn’t able to walk,” he explained.

Guillain-Barré is a rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the nervous system, causing muscle weakness and temporary paralysis. It is not known why it occurs, but usually happens after a respiratory or gastrointestinal viral infection, via the National Institutes of Health.

The severity differs, but nearly everyone will recover from the syndrome.
