Jimmy Kimmel Delivers Tearful Tribute to Bob Saget in Touching 'JKL' Monologue

Jimmy Kimmel is paying tribute to his longtime friend Bob Saget, who just passed away suddenly at the age of 65.

The talk show host dedicated his Jimmy Kimmel Live opening monologue on Monday night (January 10) to saluting his pal.

Bob was the sweetest. He was the sweetest man,” Jimmy said during the speech. “I have so many wonderfully kind and supportive texts and emails and calls from Bob. He always had a compliment. He’d write sometimes just to tell me he loved me and I know he did that for many people… He had something funny to say about everything and nothing bad to say about anyone. Never.”

Jimmy highlighted Bob‘s work for the Scleroderma Research Foundation and encouraged fans to support the charity in his memory. He also talked about how Bob was there for him when his son was in the hospital.

“When my son was in the hospital, Bob checked in a lot. I want to send love to his daughters, to his wife Kelly and to his friends who loved him so much,” Jimmy said. “He was very kind to everyone and he had no problem telling you that he loved you and what you meant to him.”

A source is opening up about Bob‘s final phone call with his wife.
