Jimmy Fallon kicked things off by playing “Isn’t She Lovely” on the slide whistle, while Maggie Gyllenhaal gave a rousing rendition of “Sweet Home Alabama” on a lap steel guitar.
The pair both failed to get a correct guess from The Roots.
Jimmy scored a win by performing “Amazing Grace” on a dulcimer, before Maggie tried her hand at “My Heart Will Go On” with a washtub bass.
They then collaborated on a joint effort at the end, performing “Over The Rainbow” on Irish lyre harp (Jimmy) and a sousaphone (Maggie), which the band managed the guess!

Maggie recently revealed what it was like directing her husband Peter Sarsgaard‘s sex scenes in her new movie.
