Surprise! Jenny Slate is married!

In a new interview, the 39-year-old comedian and actress revealed that she and fiance Ben Shattuck very quietly tied the knot on New Year’s Eve.

“We were planning on a [wedding] that ended up being almost 200 people, and then now, it’s just our parents and siblings,” Jenny shared with Marie Claire.

Jenny went on to reveal that she and the 28-year-old author got married in the living room at their home in Massachusetts after the COVID pandemic disrupted their wedding plans three times.

“We each invited six friends… I actually like it. I like it better,” Jenny added. “I didn’t realize how the large thing was making me feel uncomfortable, a little bit. Just a little.”

Jenny and Ben were first linked to each other in January 2019. Ben proposed to Jenny in September of that year during a romantic trip to France.

The couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Ida, in February 2020.
