Machine Gun Kelly is opening up about Megan Fox‘s engagement ring, which he helped to design.

The two, who have been together for a few years, recently announced their engagement to fans.

MGK chose a gorgeous two-stone diamond and emerald tear dropped ring for Megan, and in addition to being magnetic, has another unique feature about it.

During an interview with Vogue, MGK shared that the ring actually has thorns!

“It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine,” the rocker, whose real name is Colson Baker, shared. “And the diamond was directly from [designer] Stephen [Webster].”

He added, “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart, and you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…”

The reasoning behind that decision, MGK added, “Love is pain!”
