Steve-O Opens Up About Being Sober for 14 Years

Steve-O is talking sobriety.

The 47-year-old Jackass star spoke about his health in an interview with Men’s Health.

During the interview, Steve-O addressed his decision to get sober well over a decade ago.

“Most people would be delighted to hear that they’re actually not going to die in their early 30s. It came to me as a crisis,” he said.

“I was confronted with the most terrifying possibility: I was only, like, halfway through my life.”

He also discussed having little money and no idea how to make more at the time, having little going for him other than people yelling ‘Oh s–t, it’s Steve-O!” when they saw him.

“The ultimate fear for me would be to be a recognizable personality and totally broke,” he said.
