Rihanna Steps Out In An Vibrant Orange Coat After Donating $15 Million To Fight Climate Change
Rihanna keeps warm in a fuzzy orange coat while out and about in New York City on Wednesday night (January 26).
The 33-year-old musician bundled up to battle the cold weather while arriving at Flight Club shoe store for some late night shopping.
It was just announced that Rihanna has donated $15 million through her Clara Lionel Foundation to 18 organizations fighting climate change, which was done in partnership with Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey’s #StartSmall philanthropic initiative, via PBS.
“Climate disasters, which are growing in frequency and intensity, do not impact all communities equally, with communities of color and island nations facing the brunt of climate change,” she shared in a statement.
Rihanna launched the Clara Lionel Foundation — which is named after her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite — in 2012. In addition to funding climate resilience and justice projects, the foundation also supported those affected by natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey.
Just the day before, Rihanna was seen heading out for some lunch at a local eatery wearing a chic plaid coat and baseball cap.
