Dolce & Gabbana Will Stop Using Real Fur In Their Collections & Transition to Eco-Friendly Faux Fur

Dolce & Gabbana have made the decision to ditch the fur in their future fashion collections.

The announcement, via ETCanada, shared that the fashion house would not be making any real fur garments in the future, and instead, transition to eco-friendly faux fur.

Dolce & Gabbana is the latest fashion house to join the movement, and adhere to guidelines set by the Fur Free Alliance, a network of animal rights groups around the world. Others include Armani, Gucci, Prada and Moncler.

“Dolce&Gabbana is working toward a more sustainable future that can’t contemplate the use of animal fur,” Fedele Usai, Dolce&Gabbana communications and marketing officer, said in a statement.

PJ Smith, the fashion policy director of the Human Society of the United States and the Humane Society International, said “ending the use of fur creates a higher standard for what is acceptable in fashion.”

Last year, Kim Kardashian opened up about what she did to all the furs she used to wear.
