“I think I just, as an actor, want to be able to do different things. It’s not necessarily separating myself from anything I’ve done. It’s just, hey, when you see me, when you tweet me, just use my name,” she said.
“And I’m just a human being. I just want to be addressed as a person, and not a character. I love that character and what it means to people,” she continued.
She also spoke out about the term “Glee curse.”
That's not her name. 👏👏 @MsAmberPRiley will always love her #Glee character, but she's reminding Gleeks that she is NOT Mercedes. pic.twitter.com/YSn7Uc1NYI
