'And Just Like That' Showrunner Reveals If Kim Cattrall is Welcome to Appear on The Show

Fans hoping to see Kim Cattrall on And Just Like That might need to move on.

“No. Just like there was no thought that Kim would ever participate in And Just Like That, because she’s said what she had said,” Michael told Variety when asked if he was keeping the “door open” for Kim.

Michael went on to say that he is firm in his stance that fans should not expect to ever see Kim on the show.

“The only place I participate in magical thinking is in fiction,” Michael said. “You take people at their word, and you’re a smart producer — you don’t back yourself into a corner. Magically thinking, it’s great to have Samantha. I have no realistic expectation of Kim Cattrall ever appearing again.”

In the premiere episode of And Just Like That, it was explained that Samantha had moved to London after a falling out with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker).

Samantha’s presence can still be felt throughout the season, with her sending flowers after Big’s death and through texts with Carrie.

The season one finale of And Just Like That will debut on HBO Max on Thursday, February 3. Here’s what we know about a possible second season…
