Idris Elba Films Big 'Luther' Movie Action Scene - See the Photos!

Idris Elba is back on set filming Netflix‘s Luther movie!

The 49-year-old actor was seen filming as his iconic character during an action scene in London’s Piccadilly Circus on Monday night (January 31). The scene appeared to show Luther in an knife holdup with fellow actor Andy Serkis. Idris was seen getting makeup applied to look like a cut on his nose between takes.

The last season of Luther aired on the BBC in 2019 and saw Luther getting arrested after letting serial killer Alice Morgan die.

Idris has won many awards for his work on Luther, including a Golden Globe, a SAG Award, and a Critics Choice Award. It’s unclear when the Luther movie will air on Netflix, but we’re hoping very soon!
