Gerard Butler Will Hunt Down O'Shea Jackson Jr in 'Den of Thieves' Sequel

Gerard Butler is set to return as Big Nick in the Den of Thieves sequel.

The 52-year-old actor will join O’Shea Jackson Jr., Meadow Williams and Swen Temmel in the new movie.

Titled Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera, Deadline reports that the film will focus on the hunt in Europe for Donnie (Jackson Jr.) who is embroiled in the dangerous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia as they plot a massive heist of the world’s biggest diamond exchange.

Production is expected to get underway this spring in Serbia and France.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is expected to join as a producer on the flick, with Christian Gudegast returning as the writer and director.

Den of Thieves grossed $44.9 million in the United States and Canada, and $35.7 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $80.5 million, against a production budget of $30 million.
