Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Her Unique Home Decor Style in 'Architectural Digest's Newest Issue

Gwyneth Paltrow is showing off the unique design of her home in the new issue of Architectural Digest.

The 49-year-old goop founder let cameras inside her abode in Montecito, Calif., which she describes as “a Parisian apartment set within an old European barn”.

Gwyneth says that with the design, and thanks to high ceilings and lots of light, that her space “feels generous yet manageable at the same time.”

She and husband Brad Falchuk actually purchased the property in 2015, after she discovered a teardown on real estate listing site Redfin, which she calls her “favorite pornography app.”

“The strength of the house is in the subtleties of light and space,” Gwyneth adds. “We spent a lot of time assessing family patterns, how we really live, what makes us most comfortable. The focus was on the experience, the emotion.”

She says that when they actually found the home, “there were wild animals living there and swarms of bugs, but I fell in love with the land and the views.”

The single-story home features a decked-out spa, custom pewter-finished bronze doors and an array of unique furnishings, including a luxurious indoor hammock, for the self-proclaimed “furniture obsessed” Gwyneth.

Gwyneth‘s home is also solar-powered and has an environmentally friendly gray-water system.
