Halle Berry Is Dropping Hints About a 'John Wick' Spinoff With Her Character Sofia

Halle Berry is opening up about a possible spinoff movie from John Wick, centered on her character from the franchise, Sofia Al-Azwar.

While talking to IGN in a new interview, the 55-year-old actress did confirm that she wouldn’t be in the next installment, but instead, a spinoff for her might be coming instead.

“Sofia’s not in the next John Wick movie,” she said. “There could possibly be a Sofia…her own movie. So she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thingy.”

Halle explained that creating a movie for Sofia would be a form of “putting some ointment on a little sore.”

Previously, there were also plans for a spinoff from James Bond, focused on Jinx, but that was cancelled after MGM, the studio behind the Bond franchise, “got cold feet about the film’s $80 million budget.”
