NFL's Washington Football Team Finally Reveals New Team Name

The Washington Football Team has announced their new name: the Washington Commanders.

In July of 2020, the NFL team dropped their original name due to years and years of complaints about its racist connotations toward Native Americans.

After dropping their name in July of 2020, the team began using “Washington Football Team” and many thought they may keep that name forever.

In September 2021, it was revealed that the team had narrowed down their list of team names to: Brigade, Commanders, Defenders, Presidents, Redhawks, RedWolves and the current Football Team.
