Sebastian Stan Jokes That Mark Hamill Is His Father While Reacting To A Luke Skywalker Headline

Sebastian Stan would not say no to playing Luke Skywalker it seems.

During a new video feature with Esquire magazine where guests react to internet memes and rumors, the 39-year-old Pam & Tommy actor reacted to a headline that read “Fans Demand Sebastian Stan As The Character Of Luke Skywalker In The Mandalorian.”

Sebastian didn’t bat the idea away.

“Look, it’s really kind,” he said. “Never say never.”

For years, fans have been showing just how much Sebastian looks like a young Mark Hamill, who played the role in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Last year, Sebastian opened up about playing the role on GMA, saying that if Mark called him “personally to tell me that he feels inclined to share this role with me, then I’ll believe it.”

Mark tweeted back in 2018 that Sebastian doesn’t need his approval for it.

“Sebastian doesn’t need my stamp of approval! He’s a wonderful actor & is never less than great in everything he does.”

The two now have a friendship, which Sebastian joked about.

“Mark Hamill is my father, you know, and he knows that,” he added. “I call him every Christmas to tell him, ‘Just want you to know I’m around.’”
