Here's Why 'Ted Lasso' Fans Will Be Waiting a While for Season 3 Episodes
Ted Lasso is one of the most popular shows to have premiered during the pandemic and fans are sadly going to be waiting a while for a third season.
The second season finished airing in October 2021 and fans might be waiting more than a year for new episodes to premiere.

Brendan Hunt, who plays Coach Beard and is one of the show’s co-creators, opened up to TVLine about the delay in production.
“We’re in pre-production and scripts are written,” Brendan said. He added that there is going to be a delay in “when we might shoot football [scenes].”
“We are definitely starting later this year than in Season 2, that’s for sure,” he added. “So I would be surprised if our delivery dates were the same. That’s above my pay grade, I don’t know for sure, but I do have a vague understanding of the limits of this dimension we call time, and I would say it seems pretty unlikely that we would [premiere] as early this year.”
Brendan thinks the cameras might start rolling by the end of February.
“It’ll happen, and it’ll take longer than people want it to, [but] we’re just going to try and get it right,” he said.
One of the show’s producers has confirmed that these two actors will return for season 3 despite seemingly saying goodbye.
