Katy Perry Reveals the Reason Why She Still Hasn't Gotten Married to Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged in 2019 and have had quite a long engagement.

During an appearance on Australia’s Kyle & Jackie O radio show, Katy was asked why they haven’t tied-the-knot yet. Specifically, she was asked if she was “dragging” it out, if she was “unsure” about the marriage, or what the reason was for the very long engagement.

“It’s a destination location,” she said, explaining they still want to go through with their planned wedding amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re still trying for it to work out.”

“Every couple of months it’s like, ‘New variant! New variant! New variant!’” she said.

Katy and Orlando actually were supposed to get married in a destination affair in Japan in 2020, but postponed like so many other couples due to the pandemic.
