Nelly Apologized for Leaked Sex Tape That Was Posted to His Social Media

Nelly has issued an apology for what was posted to his social media account this week.

The 47-year-old rapper was a trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday evening (February 8) when the video was posted and began making the rounds. The video showed a woman giving oral intercourse.

In a statement to TMZ, Nelly said, “I sincerely apologize to the young lady and her family, this is unwanted publicity for her/them. This was an old video that was private and never meant to go public.”

While the video was quickly deleted from his social media channels, several users were able to create screen captures and it made the rounds all over the Internet.

As for how the video ended up on his social media in the first place, Nelly‘s team told TMZ they are “investigating a breach and are concerned more of Nelly’s private content may also end up online.”
