Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige & Dr. Dre Hype Up The Halftime Show Ahead of Super Bowl 2022

Mary J. Blige gets in the middle of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Press Conference held at Los Angeles Convention Center on Thursday (February 10) in Los Angeles.

The three iconic musicians are set to perform this weekend at the 2022 Super Bowl.

“This should’ve happened a long time ago,” Dre shared about the halftime lineup to press at the event. “Hip-hop is the biggest genre of music on the planet right now, so it’s crazy that it took all of this time for us to be recognized. I think we’re going to go on and do a fantastic show and we’re going to do it so big that they can’t deny us any more in the future.”

Snoop added that he appreciates the NFL for even entertaining hip-hop on the main stage, “because we know a lot of people didn’t want hip-hop on the stage.”

While the three didn’t reveal a lot of details about their performances, Dre did shared that the “first rehearsal was surprisingly fantastic” even though the show is not yet ready to roll. “We’re onto something really special.”
