L.A. Rams Player Van Jefferson Welcomes Second Child Hours After Winning Super Bowl 2022!

Shortly after winning the 2022 Super Bowl with his team the Los Angeles Rams, the 25-year-old wide receiver’s wife Samaria Jefferson gave birth to couple’s second child!

Van announced the exciting news on his Instagram Story on Sunday (February 13), sharing a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed with the newborn baby on his chest.

Samaria was at the Super Bowl, but was carried out SoFi Stadium during the third quarter on a stretcher when she went into labor, The L.A. Times reports.

After the game, Van rushed to the hospital to be with his wife.

In an interview from the day before the game, Samaira revealed that her due date was February 17, but she instructed family and the Rams staff not to tell Van if she went into labor until after the game was over.

“I said, ‘You play, I’ll see you at the hospital afterwards,’” Samaira shared with The Athletic. “That’s what it is. I will never take that moment away from him. I want to see him glorify God on the field that day.”

Van and Samaria – who have been together since high school – are also parents to 5-year-old daughter Bella.
