'Moon Knight' Is A Very Different, 'Brutal' Series, Star Oscar Isaac & Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Tease

Over the weekend, a brand new teaser for Marvel’s Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac, debuted.

Along with it, Kevin Feige dished about the series in a new interview with Empire magazine, opening up about how it’s not going to be anything like the other Marvel properties at all.

Kevin shared that Moon Knight is much darker than their previous shows of Loki and Hawkeye, and even the Avengers movies.

“It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do,” he shared. “There are moments when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is ‘Moon Knight.’”

Oscar also opened up about how the series looks at mental health.

“It is risky,” he shared. “He’s an obscure hero, and the things we’re dealing with are very different. But because it’s a limited series, rather than a movie, the pressure isn’t there to make sure the opening weekend is massive. We’re able to take more risks, to bring that experimental quality on a huge scale.”

Also starring Ethan Hawke, Moon Knight will premiere on March 30 on Disney+.

Earlier this month, Oscar opened up about why he’s thankful this is a limited series.
