Trevor Noah to Host White House Correspondents’ Dinner 2022!

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner will return in 2022 and Trevor Noah was just announced as the host of the event!
If you don’t know, the 2020 and 2021 dinners were both cancelled due to the pandemic, and in the past few years, the dinner looked different than normal. Donald Trump did not attend during his term as President. President Joe Biden is expected to attend the 2022 event, though this has not been officially confirmed.

“Trevor is an incredible talent who keeps us laughing — and thinking — four nights a week,” Steven Portnoy, the association president and a reporter for CBS News Radio, said in a statement. “We can’t wait for him to help bring our 100-year Washington tradition ‘Back to Abnormal.’”
The press release also said that the 2022 event will “offer the first opportunity since 2016 for the press and the president to share a few laughs for a good cause.”
