Judge Rules Bob Saget's Medical Records Surrounding His Death Will Not Be Released At This Time

Florida Circuit Judge Vincent Chiu has temporarily blocked the release of Bob Saget‘s medical records surrounding his death.
The late comedian’s wife Kelly Rizzo and his daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer, sued the medical examiner’s office and the Orange County sheriff in order to stop the release of records that could contain photos, videos or audio recordings related to his death.
The court docs stated, “Plaintiffs will suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress if Defendants release the Records in response to public records requests or otherwise disseminate the Records for any other reason or purpose.” The filing also argues that no public interest would be served by the release of the records.

The Judge concluded the family would “suffer irreparable harm in the form of severe mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress if the requested temporary injunction is not granted” and that they “have a clear legal right or interest in the Protected Records as the surviving spouse and children of Mr. Saget.”
Bob‘s autopsy was released last week and the extent of his catastrophic injuries caused a ton of speculation about his death. The autopsy eventually went viral as the medical community began weighing in on how his injuries could have happened.
