Keri Russell Joins Netflix Drama Series 'The Diplomat'

Keri Russell is linking up with Netflix.

The 45-year-old former Americans actress is set to star in the streamer’s upcoming new drama series, The Diplomat.

Deadline reports that the series was created by Debora Cahn, and she and Keri will also executive produce the show alongside Janice Williams.

The Diplomat will take place in the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler (Russell) lands in a high-profile job she’s unsuited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.

The show will have eight 50-minute episodes.
