“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube,” Kanye wrote on Instagram.
Kanye then went on to explain his decision.
“Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes,” Kanye wrote. “It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own.”
Back in August 2021, Kanye launched his Stem Player, which is a pocket-sized music player that allows users to upload all music, which you can even customize.
Kanye‘s Stem Player is available for purchase for $200 at StemPlayer.com.
Donda 2 is expected to be released on Tuesday, February 22.
If you missed it, Kanye called out Pete Davidson on social media again, this time over a three-year-old SNL clip.
