Prince Harry Feels Unsafe Bringing Kids to the U.K.

Prince Harry is revealing some major security concerns.

The 37-year-old royal’s lawyers told a court on Friday (February 18) that he is not willing to take his children – Archie, 2, and Lilibet, 8 months – to the U.K., via AP.

Harry is challenging the U.K. government’s refusal to let him personally pay for police protection when he visits Britain.

His legal team says he’d like to visit his home country, but thinks it would be too risky without having police protection.

He currently lives with Meghan Markle in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Senior members of Britain’s royal family are given taxpayer-funded police protection, which Harry and Meghan lost after stepping down as working royals and moved to the United States in 2020.

Harry now wants to be able to pay for the protection himself.

“It goes without saying that he does want to come back to see family and friends and to continue to support the charities that are so close to his heart. Most of all, this is and always will be, his home,” said his lawyer, Shaheed Fatima.

A lawyer representing the British government, Robert Palmer, said his claim was “unarguable and unmeritorious,” adding that “personal protective security by the police is not available on a privately financed basis.”
