Walton Goggins To Lead Amazon Prime's 'Fallout' Series Based on Video Game Franchise

Walton Goggins is headed to Amazon Prime as the star for Fallout.

The series is based on the popular game franchise, and the premiere will be directed by Jonathan Nolan, according to Deadline.

The world of Fallout is one where the future envisioned by Americans in the late 1940s explodes upon itself through a nuclear war in 2077. The magic of the Fallout world is the harshness of the wasteland set against the previous generation’s utopian idea of a better world through nuclear energy.

It’s believed that Walton will be playing a Ghoul, although additional details have not been released. In Fallout, ghouls are mutated humans who experienced prolong radiation exposure amid the Great War.

Walton previously starred in CBS’s The Unicorn, and is currently recurring on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones.
