Eric Stonestreet Reveals How His Fiancee's Twins Helped with His Proposal

Eric Stonestreet is sharing some super sweet details about his proposal to Lindsay Schweitzer!

The Modern Family actor popped the question back in August 2021 and during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday (February 22), he revealed that he had enlisted the help of her twin sons to make it extra special.

Eric began by telling Ellen that he’d pranked Lindsay “a lot” in the past and overall she’s been “very patient” with him.

He then shared some footage from the proposal, which featured a sweet set-up from Lindsay‘s sons. Eric told her that a production company wanted to have them do a social media post together, so that she’d already have her hair and makeup done.

The twins took turns telling their mom that Eric had something important to ask before he popped the question. Lindsay seemed totally shocked and can be heard saying, “Is this all a joke?”

She eventually said, “Yes,” and the couple embraced each other at the end of the clip.

“You know I’ve won a lot in life … but I definitely win with Lindsay,” Eric told Ellen. “She is an amazing person, and I am so thankful that we met five years ago.”

Last year, Eric responded to critics who were saying he was “too old” to be engaged to Lindsay.
