Joseph Gordon Levitt Compares His 'Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber' Role to Former President Trump - Watch

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is promoting his new show, Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.

On Monday (February 21), the 41-year-old actor stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about his upcoming Showtime series, where he plays former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick.

If you didn’t know, Travis resigned as CEO from the company in 2017, after growing pressure from reports of Uber’s unethical corporate culture, including allegations that he ignored reports of sexual harassment at the company.

In the new interview, Joseph talked about portraying Travis, comparing him to former President Donald Trump.

“Look, disruption can be a good thing — you invent something new and it’s useful for people — but it depends on at what cost,” Joseph explained.

“I think he was a really exciting guy to be around actually, and there’s good parts to that and bad parts to that,” Joseph continued. “There’s probably some people who have done some pretty bad things in the world — like the president we elected in 2016 — who was pretty exciting to be around. But just because someone’s exciting to be around doesn’t mean they’re doing the right thing.”

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber will premiere on Sunday, February 27 – watch the trailer here!
