Robert Downey Jr. Reunites With 'Iron Man' Director for a Major Amazon Project!

Robert Downey Jr. is embarking on a new project!

The 56-year-old Iron Man star is set to reunite with writer and director Shane Black for an Amazon Studios deal to develop a series of movie and TV projects adapted from Donald E. Westlake’s Parker crime fiction series, Variety reported.

The first project will be a feature film called Play Dirty, in which Robert stars as Parker, a “professional thief with a brutal, mercenary work ethic.”

The star and director worked together on 2005′s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was Shane Black‘s directorial debut. They later reunited when Shane co-wrote and directed Iron Man 3.

The series of Parker-related projects is among one of Robert Downey Jr.‘s first major moves beyond the Marvel franchise.
