Kelly Clarkson Performs 'I Will Always Love You' for Dolly Parton Tribute at ACM Awards 2022 (Video)

Kelly Clarkson had one of the best performances of the night at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards and it was saved for the last few minutes!

The former American Idol winner performed a tribute for co-host Dolly Parton at the event on Monday (March 7) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.

Kelly sang a cover of the song “I Will Always Love You” and Dolly, who wrote the classic song, joined her on stage after the performance.

“I know that Whitney is smiling down tonight,” Dolly said after the performance. She added that she was backstage “trying not to cry my eyelashes off and slinging snot in every direction.”

This year marked Dolly‘s first time hosting the ACM Awards in over 20 years.
