Marisa Tomei Clarifies Quote About Not Getting Paid for Pete Davidson's 'King of Staten Island'

Marisa Tomei recently gave an interview where she claimed she was not paid for her work in the Judd Apatow and Pete Davidson film King of Staten Island.

In a recent interview, Marisa was asked about playing Pete‘s mom and she said she just talked to him to ask if he had been paid.

“I actually just was talking to Pete today, because I was like, ‘I never got paid for that. Did you? In this age of transparency, can we talk?’” Marisa said.

Now, Marisa is clarifying her comment.

“Of course, I got paid for the work I did. I didn’t forget to simply open my mailbox,” Marisa told People. “There are a lot of arcane contractual details I will spare you, but that’s what I was referring to.”

She added, “As I said, the work was tremendous fun, and infused everything I have done going forward, and was a joy.”
