Leighton Meester Reacts to the Idea of Appearing in 'Gossip Girl' Reboot

Leighton Meester is talking Gossip Girl!

The 35-year-old The Weekend Away actress opened up in an interview with Fox 5 New York’s Rosanna Scotto about her new movie.

During the conversation, she was asked about the HBO reboot of her hit series, and whether she’d ever return to the series.

“This has been asked a couple times, I’m going, ‘I don’t know maybe,’” she said with a laugh.

“You know, I’m not really sure. I will say I’ve watched the new one, I do think it’s really awesome. I’m happy for them, I feel like they’re doing a whole new thing, and I don’t think that we don’t fit in but – I can only speak for myself – I don’t feel like I don’t fit in,” she continued.

“But I will say, I feel really good sort of sitting back and leaving it to the kids, to the young new generation, they’re doing so awesome. So, that’s all I’ll say for now, you know…you never say never.”
