Alicia Keys Wows In a Fluffy Pink Coat for Her Appearance on 'GMA'

Alicia Keys brightens up the streets of New York City as she arrives for an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (March 8).

The “Girl on Fire” performer wore a hot pink monochromatic look, pairing a textured coat with a matching boiler suit. She accessorized with sparkly pink stilettos and gold hoops.

Later that day Alicia stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed what she was doing when she learned she had been named the No. 1 R&B Artist of the Millennium.

Host Jimmy Fallon began by showing a photo of Alicia at sixteen working out of her home studio, which she noted was actually just her bedroom. She joked, “There are definitely songs I feel that, if I play, would be embarrassing.

Jimmy also brought up the fact that the singer is “Officially, the Most Certified Female R&B Artist – ready – of the Millennium.”

“I have to be honest, I had to look up the word millennium,” she replied.

Alicia continued, “I was feeling really proud of that. My husband actually surprised me with it. Somehow he got the news first and I was washing dishes in the kitchen and he comes up over to me with the camera…He was like ‘so how do you feel?’ And I’m like ‘Huh? I’m washing the dishes.’”

Swizz Beatz eventually told her the news and Alicia said she was “so proud, but shy, but like excited and I worked all my life for this.”
