Selma Blair Granted Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend Ron Carlson After He Allegedly Attacked Her

A judge has granted Selma Blair a restraining order against her former boyfriend.

Back on February 25, the 49-year-old actress filed for a protective order alleging that her ex Ron Carson – whom she dated for about seven years – physically attacked her several days before on February 22.

According to court documents obtained by People, Selma claims that Ron was at her home returning a television set. She had just finished a multiple sclerosis treatment a few minutes prior, which she says left her weak.

After they returned their respective keys to each other, Selma told Ron that she wasn’t feeling well.

In response, Selma alleges that Ron verbally assaulted her, yelling that she is “useless,” adding: “I don’t f–king deserve this, I can do so much better than you.”

Selma goes on to allege that Ron then “became engaged” and physically attacked her, “jumping on top of her body while she was lying prone on the sofa.” She also claims he “strangled her, throttling her and shaking her head and shoulders aggressively.”

In her court filing, Selma says in self-defense she put her fingers in Ron‘s eyes and mouth as she screamed for help from her housekeeper, who was upstairs at the time.

Ron then allegedly put his hand over her mouth and face, “pushing it into the couch,” which Selma says made her “unable to breathe.”

Selma alleges she briefly lost consciousness before Ron allegedly slapped her, pushed the side of her head, “causing her to fall back to the floor and begin to bleed from her nose.”

After Ron left, Selma called the Los Angeles Police Department, who arrived that night. While speaking with the officers, her nose began to bleed and she passed out. She was then rushed to the hospital via ambulance for treatment, according to the court documents.

Ron was arrested later that evening for a felony of domestic violence with corporal injuries. A five-day protective order obtained by the LAPD was also placed against him. The officers urged Selma to file for a restraining order against Ron before the five days past.

The LAPD took photos of Selma‘s injuries, showing bruising around her neck and chin, and marks on her hands.

Selma also noted in her filing that she was afraid of Ron, claiming that he has an unregistered and loaded firearm in his home and threatened to kill her during the alleged attack.

A judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court granted Selma‘s restraining order on February 25. Ron later filed for his own restraining order against Selma, but was denied.

Selma has one child, 10-year-old son Arthur, with ex-boyfriend Jason Bleick.
