In his acceptance speech, Tiger got emotional while he talked about his late dad, Earl, who taught him he would have to earn everything he ever wanted.
“If you don’t go out there and put in the work, you don’t go out and put in the effort, one, you’re not going to get the results,” Tiger said, via USA Today. “But two, and more importantly, you don’t deserve it. You need to earn it. So that defined my upbringing. That defined my career.”
Tiger shares Sam and Charlie with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who he was married to from 2004 until 2010.
If you didn’t know, Tiger and Erica have been very quietly dating since at least 2017.
Tiger recently shared an update on his health after his very serious car crash last year.
