Vikings: Valhalla is officially returning for seasons two and three on Netflix!

The streamer confirmed the news today, adding that season two has already been filmed and season three will begin production in the Spring.

Season one of Vikings: Valhalla premiered on February 25. Viewers watch 80.5 million hours of the first season within two days on the streaming service. In the first 9 days on the streaming service, viewers watched 194 million hours of the show. The show was originally picked up for 24 total episodes and now, the streamer has announced they will debut as a total of three, eight-episode seasons.

Season one chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived — the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and as the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs, these three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory.
