'Yellowstone' Stars Luke Grimes & Kelsey Asbille Express Their Excitement for Season 5

Luke Grimes and Kelsey Asbille are ready to get to work on Yellowstone season 5!

“Yeah, we haven’t shot, I think, in like 18 months now,” Luke told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. “So I really miss everyone. It’s good to see her tonight, but we miss our crew and our little TV family, you know?”

Kelsey added, “But we’re really ready. It’s about time.”

The pair also discussed what was happening with their characters heading into the new season, as it was revealed in season 4 that Monica and Kayce were expecting their second child together.

Kelsey said that she’s looking forward to wearing a fake baby bump around set and was exciting about what was in store for the couple. “I’m ready to have a sweet little baby on set,” she said with a laugh.

However, Luke added: “Yeah, but who knows? We might die tomorrow. It’s kind of the Yellowstone [trademark].”

The show’s season finale found Kayce undergoing an initiation ritual where he had to face the elements alone without food or water. He also dealt with some pretty intense hallucinations, including one that showed him his marriage with Monica was destined to fail.

“I hope that they’ll be happy in the end, but it’s not likely, to be honest,” Kelsey said.

“We never know what’s next, you know?” Luke noted. “We’re sorta on the ride with everybody else. We kinda get [the scripts] as they come and we’re always super excited to see what’s happening next.”

“We honestly have no idea what’s coming up,” he added.

In case you missed it, executive producer Taylor Sheridan recently announced that the Yellowstone prequel 1883 wouldn’t be back for a second season.
