Daddy Yankee Announces He's Retiring from Music
Daddy Yankee just made a very big announcement.
On Sunday (March 20), the 45-year-old Puerto Rican singer announced that he will be retiring from music following the release of his final album, Legendaddy, and one final world tour.

“Today, I’m announcing my retirement from music by giving you my best production and my best concert tour,” Daddy Yankee shared in a statement obtained by Billboard. “I will say goodbye celebrating these 32 years of experience with this new collector’s item, the album Legendaddy.”
I’m going to give you all the styles that have defined me, in one single album,” Daddy Yankee concluded.
Daddy Yankee, also known as the King of Reggaeton, first exploded in the music industry when he released his mega-hit “Gasolina.” Over the years, he has received countless awards, including five Latin Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and 14 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
His farewell tour, La Última Vuelta World Tour, begins August 10 in Portland, Oregon
