A source told E! News that it’s not the Oscars who snubbed Rachel with a lack of an invite. Rather, tickets for the Oscars work list this: movie studios are given a specific allotment of tickets to hand out. This means that it’s actually the production company behind West Side Story, 20th Century Studios, who did not extend the invite to the young starlet.

A source told E! News, “It would be different if she was a nominee and or a presenter,” as she then would have been invited by the Oscars.
