Trevor Noah Says to 'Counsel' Not 'Cancel' Kanye West Following Grammys Ban

Trevor Noah is addressing Kanye West getting banned from the 2022 Grammys.

On Saturday (March 19), the 44-year-old Donda rapper’s rep confirmed that he will no longer be allowed to perform at the upcoming awards show, despite his five nominations.

Many believed that the 38-year-old The Daily Show host may have had something to do with it, since he is hosting this year’s Grammys, and he and Kanye just recently got into a nasty feud on social media.

However, Trevor clarified on Sunday (March 20) that he didn’t have anything to do with Kanye being banned from performing.

“I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye,” Trevor tweeted.

If you missed it, Trevor recently addressed Kanye‘s social media posts about Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, reminding people that this is not entertaining drama, but a reminder to look out for signs of an abusive relationship.

“What I see from this situation — I see a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything,” Trevor said.

Kanye then slammed Trevor for making these comments, while also calling him a racial slur.

Kanye was also recently banned from Instagram.
