Randall Emmett Breaks His Silence on Lala Kent Split, Addresses Cheating Allegations

Randall Emmett is speaking out about his split from Lala Kent for the first time.

The 50-year-old producer was a guest on GG Gharachedaghi‘s Genuinely GG podcast on Wednesday (March 23), where he explained that he was trying to stay positive amid his breakup with the Vanderpump Rules star.

Randall , who shares 12-month-old daughter Ocean with Lala, said, “She’s the mother of my child. No matter what happens in life, I will never disparage or talk ill about her because she’s Ocean’s mom.”

The director is also a dad daughters London, 12, and Rylee, 8, with ex-wife Ambyr Childers. He shared that co-parenting with Lala continues to be his priority.

“I have two other kids and I coparent with Ambyr and in that world I never said one negative thing and vice versa,” he added. “At the end of the day, I am not that comfortable in this whole thing, but the truth is that I just have to always look at the big picture.”

“When I think about all the chaos, I just try to think, you know, we have this beautiful girl and she wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for us,” he noted. “That is worth all of the turmoil and the heartbreak and the pain that has gone on. I’m not saying that I’m happy about any of it. I’m not. I’m sad, but at the same time, I have Ocean, she has Ocean, and I think we both would say that we have her out of this and how can we not be grateful?”

Randall also said that Ocean celebrated her first birthday earlier this month and that he and Lala were still working on being able to be there for those milestones together.

“We are not at that place. By the way, I could be at that place but I have to let Lala make that call,” he shared. “I am optimistic that one day we will be at that place and she will be open to that. I respect however she wants this to be.”

He revealed that he was dating again but wasn’t seeing anyone “exclusively.” As for Lala‘s accusations of infidelity, Randall said he initially wasn’t planning on addressing anything publicly.

“I am never going to comment on any of that stuff. I just feel like what I am going through and what I have gone through — my mistakes and my accountability. She also has a side to it which I will never go into but we have Ocean,” the Midnight in the Switchgrass director said. “I just can’t talk badly about the mother of my child. I just can’t do it. No matter what is said about me.”

“I’ve made mistakes, she’s made mistakes, but I’m never going to bring that to light because that’s just not right,” he added. “I can’t tell her what to do. She’s a strong woman, and I just hope that in time that kind of all mellows out.”

“I am working to provide for my family and my children every day. At the end of the day, I just try to keep my head up and hope that eventually that stuff subsides and people move on to something else,” he continued. “There’s always two sides to every story. But I am just not going to ever take that to the public. I can’t get involved in that — it is never going to be who I am.”

Randall said that the “worst part” for him has been his 12-year-old daughter’s access to the internet, meaning she could see what has been written about him. He also described some of the hate he’s received from people online.

“They don’t know me. They never met me. They know nothing about my life or my childhood or my upbringing and things I’ve been through, the struggles that I’ve gone through as a young person and even today. And they just sit at a computer and fire, like, the nastiest, most evil stuff I’ve ever seen,” he said.

“I think it has affected me emotionally. It’s hard when your mother sends you an article or your friends do,” he said of the situation. “We are given a blessing and, unfortunately, no one is perfect. Sometimes we think everyone should be perfect and we have to be forgiving. And we all have made mistakes. Not everybody owns all of their mistakes.”

Lala first alluded to her split from Randall back in October. She later confirmed that she called off their engagement when she found out he had been cheating on her.

She’s been very candid about their breakup in recent months, calling Randall the “worst thing” to happen to her and sharing details about his alleged infidelity.
