Venus and Serena Williams introduced Beyonce, who performed “Be Alive,” her Best Original Song-nominated selection from King Richard. The movie takes a look at how the two tennis superstars became who they are after the coaching from their father Richard Williams.

She performed via satellite from a Compton tennis court where the Williams family practiced their sport.

“Be Alive” is also Beyoncé’s first nomination in the category at the Oscars.

The song already received critical acclaim and was nominated for several awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Song. It also won at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards. Read the lyrics and listen to the song now!
