Jada Pinkett Smith Breaks Silence After Will Smith Hits Chris Rock at Oscars 2022

Jada Pinkett Smith has officially released her first statement after her husband Will Smith hit Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Academy Awards.

If you missed it, Chris made a GI Jane 2 joke about Jada‘s hair while presenting, and Will got on stage moments later and hit him.

If you don’t know, Will won the Best Actor trophy that evening and ended up attending one of the after parties with his entire family in tow. We haven’t heard from Jada since that night.

She just posted a short but sweet statement on her Instagram account that reads, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.”

Meanwhile, if you didn’t see, Will‘s mom just issued a statement in reaction to what she saw on her TV. Will has since apologized to Chris.
